Shannon Sharpe Accused of R*pe in $50 Million Lawsuit

Shannon Sharpe is being sued for $50 million by a woman who says he raped her multiple times.

A woman, whose name isn't being used, filed a lawsuit in Nevada claiming that former football star Shannon Sharpe sexually assaulted her several times in late 2024 and early 2025. She says this happened after they had been in an abusive relationship for a couple of years.

According to the lawsuit, the woman met Sharpe in 2023 at a gym in Los Angeles. She was 20, and he was in his mid-50s. She claims that even early on, Sharpe acted inappropriately, saying he'd pay for her to get breast implants if she won a weight-loss challenge.

The woman says Sharpe kept contacting her and pressured her to come to his house. They eventually started a relationship, but she says it was controlling and that Sharpe would yell at her.

She described one scary incident where Sharpe got angry while a gun was visible. She tried to share her location with friends on her phone, but Sharpe saw her. She claims he grabbed her neck and threatened to kill her if she did it again.

Even after they both moved to Nevada in the summer of 2024, the relationship continued. However, the woman says she tried to end things after Sharpe's controversial Instagram Live video. She claims that after this, he raped her.

The lawsuit states the first rape happened in October 2024 at her apartment. She says Sharpe forced himself on her while she was crying. The second alleged rape happened in January 2025. She claims Sharpe came to her house promising a Christmas and birthday gift but then sexually assaulted her again.

The woman is asking for over $50 million in damages. Her lawyer said it takes courage to stand up to powerful people and that he looks forward to presenting the case in court.

Sharpe has not yet responded to requests for comment.
