Florida assistant principal arrested after making 13-year-old student rub her feet “like he loved her"

A middle school official in Florida is on leave after being accused of inappropriate behavior with a student. Dr. Keiva Lark, 53, is the assistant principal at Lake Marion Creek Middle School. She has been charged with inappropriate conduct toward a 13-year-old boy, following an incident reported to the police on April 4.

The situation started when the boy was sent to Lark’s office for misbehaving during a test. While he was there, Lark allegedly asked him to rub her feet, suggesting he had nothing better to do. Witnesses say she removed her shoes and placed her legs on his lap. While he rubbed her feet, she reportedly criticized him for not doing it right and showed him how to do it on his arm and shoulder.

According to witnesses, Lark made several inappropriate comments, including telling the boy to “rub her feet like he loved her” and talking about how this would help him understand dating. One of her coworkers later reported that Lark acknowledged her behavior was wrong.

During a police interview, the boy said Lark had also called him "Sexy Chocolate" in school. When questioned, Lark initially claimed her comments were just jokes aimed at boosting the boy’s confidence. However, Sheriff Grady Judd stated that it is unacceptable for an adult in her position to talk to a student like that.

Lark admitted her behavior was inappropriate but denied saying anything wrong to the boy. Following these events, the Polk County School Board and child welfare authorities were informed, and Lark was placed on administrative leave. The school superintendent emphasized that such behavior from a school administrator is unacceptable and praised the principal for quickly reporting the incident to protect students.
