Elon Musk has certainly been making headlines lately, and not always for the best reasons. From protests and damage at Tesla dealerships to stepping down from his role with Doge and the recent child support allegations from the mother of his 13th child, Ashley St Clair, have been particularly eye-catching. St Clair claims that after she filed for sole custody, Musk diminished her financial support.

Welcome to the family court podcast. Just a few days ago, Musk finally addressed these allegations, denying any wrongdoing while asserting that he has provided her with $500,000 each year, totaling $2.5 million so far, despite not being certain if the child is biologically his.
Musk is firmly rejecting the notion that he has āfinancially retaliatedā against St Clair and their son.
On Monday, March 31, the Tesla founder responded to a tweet from Laura Loomer, which highlighted St Clair selling her Tesla to help with child care costs. Musk, in his reply, pushed back against St Clair's claims of retaliation, stating that while he is unsure of paternity, he has consistently offered financial support.
He tweeted, āI donāt know if the child is mine or not, but Iām not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.ā
Shortly after Muskās response, St Clair took to social media to claim that he had ārefusedā to confirm paternity and had recently reduced much of his financial support to exert control over the situation.
āElon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused,ā Sinclair remarked. āYou werenāt sending me money; you were providing support for your child, which you deemed necessary until you decided to withdraw most of it to maintain control and punish me for ādisobedience.ā But in reality, youāre only punishing your son."
She further pointed out the irony in Muskās efforts to silence her while he uses his social media platform to disseminate negative messages about her and their child. "Itās all about control with you, and everyone can see it," she added. Sinclair did not hold back, urging Musk to mature and take responsibility.
A representative for Musk has yet to comment on the latest developments.
Musk's statements come after Sinclair addressed a reporter from the Daily Mail while selling her Tesla Model S. She expressed that she was taking this step due to the alleged significant reduction in the child support payments.
When asked if she viewed Musk's actions as vindictive, she said, āThat's his modus operandi when women speak out,ā noting that she last had communication with Musk on February 13.
Earlier this month, Sinclair's legal team publicly voiced their concerns regarding Musk's response to her petition for sole custody, alleging that he had retaliated financially after she sought legal help.
āMr. Musk has substantially and unilaterally reduced his financial support for his own child, doing so after Ashley was compelled to take legal action, as he ignored her private attempts to resolve the situation without drama,ā the statement from her legal team highlighted.
They also pointed out that while Musk calls himself a "First Amendment warrior," he attempts to silence Sinclair on his terms.
With tensions rising, it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold as both parties navigate their next steps.
